Richard Drake Obituary
Elmira - Richard W. "Dick" Drake, age 87, of Elmira, NY passed away on Sunday, February 18, 2018 at home surrounded by his loving family. Dick was predeceased by his parents, Hovey H. Drake and Cora Maude Seafuse Drake; two sisters and a brother.
Dick is survived by his loving wife of 56 years, Loretta A Drake; children, Paul Drake, Mark Drake and Jennifer Rahman; five grandchildren; several nieces, nephews, church friends and beloved cat, Fluffy.
Dick was a U.S. Army Veteran. He served during the Korean War. He was a Ham radio operator and was also a member of the Ham radio club. He loved working outdoors, especially in his back yard. Dick loved all kinds of music, especially organ music. Dick was a loving husband, father and grandfather who will be missed by all. Donations may be made in Dick's name to CareFirst Hospice, 3805 Meads Creek Road, Painted Post, NY 14870, American Cancer Society, 1316 College Ave, Elmira, NY 14901 and St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501 St Jude Pl, Memphis, TN 38105.
Calling hours will be held on Sunday, March 4, 2018 from 3 PM to 5 PM with a memorial service to follow at 5 PM at the Pennsylvania Avenue Methodist Church, 1238 Pennsylvania Ave, Pine City, NY 14871. Burial and military honors will be held at the convenience of the family. Dick's tribute wall may be singed at www.olthof.com.

Sorry to learn of Dick's passing. My wife & I loaned our tent for him & Lori to use on their honeymoon when they went camping back when they first got married. Rest in peace.
