Sophie Peterson Obituary
Age 85, of Van Etten, died Sunday, Oct. 12, 2008, at her home. She was born in Paterson, NJ, on June 29, 1923 the daughter of the late Samuel (Annie (Dudek) Prokopczyk. She was predeceased by her husband, James Peterson and her brothers and sister. Sophie is survived by three daughters and a son, Judith (Stanley) Mazur, Middletown, NY, James (Marilyn) Peterson, Plymouth, MA, Jane (late Marvin) Zepkowski, Monroe, NC, Irene (Joseph) St. Angelo, Van Etten, NY; grandchildren, Joseph St. Angelo, Michael (Kelly) St. Angelo, Heather (Christopher) Galloway, Kim (Robert) McManus, Melissa (Kevin) Epperson, Eric Peterson; great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews. Friends may call on Wednesday, October 15, 2008, from 1 p.m. to 2 p.m. followed immediately by a service at Allen-Manzer Funeral Home, Spencer, NY, officiated by Pastor Doug Brock. Interment is in Canfield Memorial Cemetery, Van Etten, NY. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to the Van Etten Fire Dept. (EMS), Van Etten, NY; or Southern Tier Hospice and Palliative Care, 11751 East Corning Rd., Corning NY.
