Thomas Curry Obituary

Thomas E. Age 21 of Oak Hill Rd. and formerly of Orchard Knoll in Horseheads passed away very unexpectedly as a result of a motorcycle accident on Sunday June 15, 2003 in Holiday PA while touring with friends. He is survived by his parents Edward and Nancy (Tuthill) Curry of Horseheads; sister, Deanna Curry of Harrisburg, PA; grandmother, Helen Curry of Newburgh, NY; uncles, Ronald Curry also of Newburgh, NY and W. John (Jan) Tuthill of Custer, S. Dakota; his cousins, William Tuthill of Jamestown and Alicia, James, and Laura Curry all of Newburgh, NY and several close friends and neighbors; Tom was also recently predeceased by his aunt, Carolyn Curry and grandfather, Thomas C. Curry. A 1999 graduate of Horseheads High School, Tom was involved in various sports there including football, swimming and a member of the 1999 NY State Champion baseball team. He continued his love of baseball, playing for Lockhaven Univ. while attending there. A happy energetic young man, Tom was a devoted friend keeping a close bond with many of his high school classmates. He was a "hands on" very mechanical person. For many years he was employed with summer cohesion. His goals and recent aspirations reached toward a career in criminal justice with emphasis toward assisting with youth activities. He will surely be missed by all those lives he touched. Friends are invited to call at the Barber Funeral Home 413 So. Main St. Horseheads on Wed. June 18, 2003 from 2-4:00 p.m. and 7-9:00 p.m. His service will take place there at the funeral home on Thurs. at 11:00 a.m. Interment will follow in Maple Grove Cemetery Horseheads.
