Todd Dewey Obituary
Of Horseheads, NY, passed away after a courageous fight with lung cancer on Friday, May 1, 2015, at the too-young age of 55. Todd was born on September 10, 1959, in Elmira, NY, a son of Charles J. and Beverly Lathrop Dewey. He was everyone's favorite plumbing and heating contractor. Todd served in the 16th Engineer Battalion, 1st Armored Division of the United States Army from 1977-1980. Todd is survived by his wife, Jeanne E. Ross; his children, Charles R. of Horseheads, and Nicole Dewey-Apgar (George) of Trumansburg; his brothers, Lon (Karen Mecum) of Horseheads, Scott (Becky) of Elmira, and Matthew (Debra) of Dallas, PA; his grandchildren, Mia DiLuzio and Lucas Apgar of Trumansburg; and his parents. He also leaves Uncle Roger and Aunt Jeanne Dewey of Horseheads, and many nieces, nephews, cousins, hunting and fishing buddies (you know who you are), friends, and customers. Relatives and friends are invited to Sullivan's Funeral Home, 365 E. Franklin St. at Rt. 13, Horseheads, NY, on Monday, May 4, 2015, from 2 PM - 7 PM. Todd's Funeral Services and Military Honors will begin at 7 PM. Please bring your photos of Todd to share and write down your stories and memories of Todd for his family to cherish. A celebration of Todd's life will be held at a later date. A special thank you to the angels in the Oncology Department of the Guthrie Clinic and on 5 Main in Robert Packer Hospital for their TLC. To the whole Dewey family especially Mr. and Mrs. Dewey, I am so very very sad to learn of Todd's passing. He had such a wonderful happy go lucky spirt. I have so many wonderful fond memeories of him. ( His dog Rainey, his old rickety van). He will be missed so very much. I am truly sorry for your loss.
