Cynthia Mary Demarest

1955 - 2023

Cynthia Mary Demarest, 68, passed away suddenly on October 17, 2023. Cyndy was born on August 31, 1955, in Albany, NY to the late Wesley Herman Demarest and Ruthlyn Anne Herrington. After graduating from Bethlehem Central High School in 1974, she embarked on a career in healthcare that spanned almost 50 years, culminating with serving as the President and Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Maryland Care Management Incorporated. She held previous executive level positions at the University Hospital Systems of Cleveland, Johns Hopkins Healthcare, and Aetna. Cyndy was a dedicated mother to her daughter, Jacqueline R. Lowery (Kristopher G.), and a devoted grandmother to her two grandsons: Kristopher A. and Scott W., who affectionately called her Gigi. Gigi's entire world revolved around them. Cyndy lived life to the fullest and enjoyed splitting time between her houses in Queenstown, Maryland and Marco Island, Florida. She always enjoyed hosting family and friends, and she looked forward to her annual Caribbean cruises. Cyndy is survived by her husband of 27 years Christopher S. Quaglino, her daughter Jacqueline (Kristopher), grandsons Kristopher and Scott, siblings Linda Sickler (Edward), Stephen Demarest (Cindy), Gail Simmons (David), and Anna Kavanaugh, as well as numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, as well as siblings Wesley Demarest (Susan), Gary Demarest, and John Demarest. No services are scheduled at this time.
