Glenville- David Carl Halsdorf, Jr., 83, passed away suddenly on March 19, 2026, at the Provincial Glenville apartments. David was predeceased by his parents, David, Sr. and Florence (Hilton) Halsdorf, his wife of 35 years, Carolyn Marie Ames, and his brother-in-law, Roy Hynds.
David is survived by his siblings, Linda (Jim) Proper, Joan Hynds, Donald (Patricia) Halsdorf, Laura (William) Olender, Neil (Virginia) Halsdorf and many nieces and nephews.
David was raised and lived most of his life in Delmar, NY, moving to Glenville after his wife’s passing. He was a graduate of Bethlehem Central High School, Class of 1962. He had a 35 year career with the Town of Bethlehem Highway Department. David also had a part time lawn service business, featuring lawn mowing, small engine repair and tuneups.
David was loved and will be missed by his family, and his many friends at the Provincial.
