Jack Rossy Obituary
Jack served in the United States Army during Vietnam, after graduation from Cambridge High School class of 1967. On June 24th, 1983, he married the former Delores "Dee" Hughes.
Jack is survived by his wife Delores A. Rossy, a devoted daughter, Jennifer R. Willey and her husband Chris, and Joni N. Morse. He cherished his role as a grandfather to Gregory Cole Willey, who brought him immense joy and pride. Two additional grandchildren were Cody Morse, and Colbie Morse. A sister Gloria Moyd, of Hurlock, three brothers Johnnie C. Rossy, of Cambridge, Michael Rossy of Cambridge, and Ricky Rossy, of Cambridge, and several nieces, nephews and cousins. Jack also loved his cats and grand dogs which he visited daily.
A dedicated worker, Jack held positions at Continental Can in Hurlock, MD, Western Publishing in Cambridge, MD, Queenstown Welding, in Queenstown, Fabrite Welding Metal Works in Hurlock, and Custom Welding in Cambridge, MD before his retirement. He was known for his joy of life, thoughtfulness, and generosity to others.
In his free time, Jack pursued his passion for the outdoors, the stars, and the love of animals. He enjoyed collecting shark teeth and arrowheads, treasures from nature that reflected his adventurous spirit. Whether exploring the shores or enjoying time in the outdoors, Jack found peace and happiness in the beauty of nature.
Jack's legacy will live on through his loving family, friends, and the countless lives he touched. He will be remembered for his warmth, kindness, and the many stories he shared.
A memorial service will be held on October 22nd, 2024, at 11:00am, at the Maryland Eastern Shore Veterans Cemetery in Beulah, MD to celebrate Jack's life with Rev. Buddy Spear officiating. Arrangements are in the care of the Thomas Funeral Home, P.A.
He will be dearly missed but forever remembered in our hearts.
