Lynda von Spaeth Obituary

Lynda S. von Spaeth of Easton died on May 21, 2025 at Talbot Hospice.

Lynda "Lyn" was born on July 22, 1948, in Alexandria, VA, to the late Harry Hammond Snyder and Charlene Gregory Snyder. She attended George Washington High School and graduated in 1966. Lyn continued her education at Longwood College and graduated in 1970. She accepted a position with Blue Cross and Blue Shield in 1971.

Lyn married Erik "Nick" von Spaeth on September 20, 1980. They resided in Washington, DC until 1995, when they moved to Easton on the Eastern Shore of Maryland. In 1999, she joined the Talbot Hospice as the Administrative Coordinator.

Lyn was a member of the B.B.I. and CWN, and enjoyed weekly Mahjong and Canasta groups. She loved her cats, reading, listening to music and birdwatching.

Along with her parents, Lyn is preceded in death by her husband, Nick von Spaeth, who died in 2001, and her brother, Harry Hammond Snyder, Jr., who died in 2024.

A graveside service will be held at Oxford Cemetery, Oxford, MD on Saturday, September 13, 2025, at 3:30pm.
