I have known Pete since before kindergarten and we went to school together through high school in Stamford, CT. We often practiced ping pong in Pete's garage and occasionally hit trees while sledding on the nearby golf course. We maintained contact via occasional correspondence through the decades. During the last 10-15 years we got together periodically in his hometown of Easton, MD or in my hometown of West Hartford, CT. My wife Pat and I were delighted to host Pete and his charming Carla. We will never forget the three of us struggling to complete a crossword puzzle, Pete later coming downstairs to help us, and quickly rattling off the challenging answers that eluded the rest of us.
His wit, wide range of knowledge, enthusiasm, and sense of humor will be missed by all who knew him.

A lovely human being. Though I didn't know him well, I knew him enough to understand his generosity and esteem his big heart.
