Freda Rickelman Obituary

Freda "Ivern" Rickelman Freda "Ivern" Rickelman, 90, of Machesney Park, IL, passed away Monday, January 15, 2024, in her home. Born March 11, 1933, in Ravenden Springs, AR, the daughter of Lehman E. and Virgie (O'Dell) Guntharp. She married Carroll E. "Rick" Rickelman on May 4, 1961, in Belvidere, IL. Retired from Amerock. Freda enjoyed word searches, coloring, crocheting, tending to her plants, and watching hummingbirds. She taught ceramics for more than 20 years. Survivors include son, Ricky (Bridget) Rickelman; daughter, Carol (George) Kite; grandchildren, Shawn (Tabatha), Samantha (AJ), Amanda (Adam), and Daniel (Emily); great-grandchildren, Ethan, Evan, Eli, McKenna, Montana, and Colt. Predeceased by her parents; husband; granddaughter, Kelsey Kite; sister, Velma Hutchison; and brother, Leon Guntharp. Service at 11 a.m. Monday, January 22, 2024, at Delehanty Funeral Home, 401 River Lane, Loves Park, IL, with visitation from 10 a.m. to service time. Burial in Sunset Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers, a memorial will be established.
