Jean Caputo Obituary
Mrs. Jean M. (nee Jameson) Caputo, 89, died peacefully on May 10, 2019, at her home in Cedar Grove, N.J.
Visiting in the Prout Funeral Home, (condolences may be left at proutfuneralhome.com), 370 Bloomfield Ave., Verona, N.J., will be on Monday, May 13, from 4 to 7 p.m. A Funeral Mass will be offered in St. Catherine of Siena Church, Cedar Grove, on Tuesday at 10 a.m.
Born in Glen Ridge, N.J., Mrs. Caputo grew up in Caldwell, N.J., and moved to Cedar Grove in 1951. A lifelong caregiver to family and friends, she worked as a nurse's aide in Waterview Nursing Home for 30 years.
Mrs. Caputo was predeceased by her husband of 63 years, Rocco A. Caputo; granddaughter, Joelle Caputo, and sister, Janet Condit.
She is survived by her loving children, Michael (Lucille), Shawn (Claire), Kathleen (Jon Tesser), John (JoAnn), and Robert (Kathleen); cherished grandchildren, Tiffany (Paul Willis), Rocco (Kristy), Carmine, Hunter (Kim), Gabriella, Jack, Robert, Mack, Noah, Mary, and Hudson, and seven great-grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, donations to Genesis Farm, Blairstown, N.J., genesisfarm.org or Cedar Grove Ambulance and Rescue Squad, Cedar Grove, N.J., cedargroverescue.org, in her memory would be appreciated.
