All my friends and classmates from Honors English (Ramapo Senior HS Class of '81) are saddened at the loss of our beloved teacher, yet we are heartened to know that she lived a long and wonderful life. It would seem as good as any of the books we read with her. Dr. McCauley had style! She taught us the meaning of dignity, among many other important ideals (I am now a teacher too). Love and condolences to your family from her former students.

To all of Aunt Virginia’s family, I am so very sorry to hear of this. I have very fun fond memories of visiting her and Aunt Floss in their home up the concrete steps to the breeze porch on many Shady Lake summer mornings, afternoons, and evenings. She was a magical person. Much love, Susan Spring Smith, daughter of Betty Spano Spring and granddaughter of Lil and Len Spano.
