CHRISTOPHER CANO Obituary

CANO

Christopher (Chris) Sean Cano, age 34, passed away on July 29, 2022. He was born in Frisco Texas on May 16, 1988 to J. Benjamin Cano and Michelle Renee (Lovell) Cano. He attended Collin Creek Church throughout his youth. Chris was a 2006 graduate of Frisco High School. Chris played many instruments in the Band. He had a natural talent and love for music. This was shared with his beloved Uncle, Anthony (Tony) Lovell. He graduated from the University of North Texas in Denton Texas, in 2012, where he earned a Bachelor's Degree in Business. Chris established a restaurant in Downtown Frisco, in 2016, with his parents. Rockin' Taco and Tex-Mex, a successful, family owned and operated restaurant. His older sister, Andre'a, worked the register during the day, while Chris and his Mom, Michelle, at night. Live Music and AMAZING Food are what the Customers LOVE! He always had a HUGE smile on his face as he greeted patrons saying, “Welcome to Rockin' Taco.” Mom and Dad (whom everyone calls Pops) were always around visiting with loyal customers. He LOVED his nieces and nephews like they were his own children. Andre'a was his best friend from birth. The bond between brother and sister was remarkable. He loved and adored his entire family, which is incredibly close-knit. He would do anything for his family and loved his Mom and Pops unconditionally. Chris was strong-willed and very protective of his family and friends.

Chris was engaged to Jaclyn Williamson, also of Frisco. Jaclyn and her family moved to Frisco during her fourth-grade year. Chris, along with Jaclyn, with a large group of friends, bonded during their years of school and remained lifelong friends. Chris and Jaclyn went on a date while in college and found it a bit strange. When Rockin' Taco expanded to add a bar and stage, the restaurant was in need of an updated menu. Chris knew Jaclyn was a Graphic Designer. He set up a meeting with her to design the new menu, and within three months they were dating and in love. On their second anniversary of dating, he proposed marriage to her at the same location as their first date in college. Jaclyn said it was “the Easiest YES of My Life”. They lived together for two years at his Uncle Tony's house in Allen, Texas. Tony also owned a home on Lake Fork, in Emory, Texas. Chris and Jaclyn moved into the lake house, seven weeks ago, after undergoing a renovation. Now they are together In Heaven.

He was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Barbara Shelton Lovell and Darrell Wayne Lovell. His paternal grandfather Jesus Cano and Uncle Anthony (Tony) Lovell.

Chris is survived by his wonderful parents Benjamin and Michelle Cano of Frisco, Texas. His older sister, Andre'a Shanks, husband Daniel Shanks of Allen, Texas, with nieces Zoey and Zelda and nephews Wesley and Noah. Grandmother Maria Cano and Uncle Gustavo Cano of Frisco, Texas. Along with a host of loving cousins, and friends.

For those who have supported our small family-owned business, thank you from the bottom of our hearts and your continued support of Rockin' Taco and Tex-Mex is greatly appreciated.

A Joint Celebration of Life for Chris and Jaclyn will be held at 3:00 pm, Monday, August 8, 2022, at Stonebriar Community Church, 4801 Legendary Drive, Frisco, Texas, 75034. To convey condolences and to sign an online registry, please visit www.tjmfuneral.com.
