ALEXANDER

J.W. “Jake” Alexander passed away February 1, 2023 in Anna, Texas at the age of 89. He was born to J.T. and Florence (Robertson) Alexander on April 10, 1933 in Weinert, Texas.

J.W worked as a farmer in Weinert and attended the Church of God in Melissa. He was a true outdoorsman. J.W. enjoyed fishing, hunting, gardening, and traveling on cruise ships. The most important thing to him was family.

J.W. is survived by his son, Rodger D. Alexander of Leonard, Texas; son, Terry G. Alexander and wife, Connie of Telephone, Texas; grandchildren, Christi Hunt-Smith and husband, Gary of Ivanhoe, Texas, and Benjamin J. Alexander of Tulsa, Oklahoma; sister, Charlene Alexander Harlan of Normandy, Texas; and great grandchildren, Conley, Dalton, and Anna Lee.



He was preceded in death by his parents, J.T. and Florence Alexander, and wife, Joyce Alexander.

A funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m., Sunday, February 5, 2023 at Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Funeral Home in Allen, Texas. The family received guests for a visitation from 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m., Saturday at the funeral home.
