Nicholas William
“Nic” Smith
1996 - 2017
Nicholas William Smith, 20, of Dallas, Texas passed away unexpectedly on January 10, 2017. He was born in Chicago, Illinois on November 8, 1996. Nic attended Trinity Christian Academy, and graduated from Plano West Senior High School in 2015. He was a passionate member of DECA, a business leadership organization for high school students. Nic attended Indiana University as a Business major and was a member of the Sigma Pi Fraternity. He was an outgoing, gregarious young man with a big heart. He enjoyed his job serving others and deeply loved spending time with his family and friends.
Nic is survived by his parents, Suzanne and George Holland of Dallas, Texas and Doug Smith of Tulsa, Oklahoma; his brother, Stuart Smith; stepbrother, Alexander Holland; stepsisters: Allison Ray, Erika Jones, and Andrea Humphries; grandparents: Donna and Bryan Whitworth, Larry List, Gerre and Doug Schwert, Pat and Bill Smith. Nic is also survived by a host of loving aunts, uncles, cousins, and close friends.
Visitation will be at Parkway Hills Baptist Church, Plano, TX on Sunday, January 15 from 6:00-8:00 p.m. The memorial service will take place at Parkway Hills Baptist Church on Monday, January 16 at 11:00 a.m. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Nic's memory to the National Alliance on Mental Illness (NAMI).

Over the years, our kids got to meet Nic through our nephew Brooks. We are heartbroken at Nic's passing. Nic's family and friends are in our prayers and thoughts during this difficult time.
