SHIRAZ-ALI SIDI Obituary
Shiraz-Ali Ismail Sidi, 63, died recently after a long struggle with chronic medical conditions.
Born and raised in Nairobi, Kenya, Mr. Sidi immigrated first to Canada to pursue his education, and then to the United States where he was a proud, naturalized citizen. For the last 10 years, he was a resident of Plano, where he worked as the Director of Research and Development for Manner Polymers. He was an accomplished engineer, who held several patents in the areas of polymers and composites. In his free time, Mr. Sidi was an avid reader and enjoyed golfing.
Mr. Sidi leaves behind his son, Nadir Sidi; daughter, Taslim Urnek; five siblings, Ibrahim Sidi, Shamim Sidi, Rosemin Sidi, Saira Hemani, and Zenobia Sidi; three nephews and his grandson.
A service for family and friends will be held at the Spartanburg Jamatkhana in South Carolina.

Joe and I had the pleasure of working with Shiraz for many years. He was one of the most intelligent men I have ever known. Shiraz had a distinctive unique way of entertaining us when were facing tough times.We both had kept in touch with him over the past year. We were deeply saddened to see that he had passed. He will be truly missed. Rest in Peace our friend, gone but never forgotten.
