Oh, Wilbur, I just got back from a week in Charlotte taking care of my daughter after her shoulder surgery, and tonight was told about Carroll's death. Never will be another like her, that intellect, that sense of humor. I'm glad I got to spend time with her a few weeks ago. Please know Howard and I are here for you.

What an inspirational person Carroll was. I am reminded of so much by reading the obituary -- it really captures what she was about and is a joyous celebratory statement of her life.
