(IDA) CHARLOTTE BERRY KLEIN (IDA) CHARLOTTE BERRY KLEIN, 79, of Wilmington NC died at home, surrounded by loved ones, on June 21, 2018. A daughter of Ray Nelson Berry and Mary Roberts Berry, Charlotte grew up in the Washington Iowa home of her maternal grandparents, Carl Jackson Roberts and Maud Hoover Roberts. She was valedictorian of her high school class, and earned a Bachelor of Music degree with honors at the College of Wooster, followed by a Master of Music degree at the Eastman School of Music. She taught piano and music theory at the Preparatory Department at Eastman and at Wilmington (Delaware) Music School, and as a private teacher for 13 years. She was a P.E.O. Since 1976, Charlotte was closely involved with First Presbyterian Church of Wilmington NC, as chancel choir and bell choir member, substitute organist, piano and flute accompanist, Bible study group teacher, and Stephen Minister. She was preceded in death by her parents, as well as her daughter Marjorie Sharon Klein in 1988. She is survived by her husband David Klein of Wilmington NC, sister Patricia Kalvestrand of Redding CA, son Timothy Klein of Vancouver WA, and daughter Brenda and her husband Sina Ghaemmaghami of Rochester NY.
