Daphne Millinor Obituary

DAPHNE COWAN MILLINOR

Daphne Cowan Millinor passed away peacefully on November 29, 2011, after a long illness.

She was born on June 7, 1909, in Buckhorn, North Carolina, the daughter of the late J.H. and Mary Renfrow of Buckhorn.

Mrs. Millinor was a long-time resident of Wilmington where she operated a grocery store along with her first husband Albert B. Cowan. She was also married to David Earl Millinor of the Wilmington Fire Department.

She is survived by her daughters, Virginia McCoy Marascio and Julia A. Loeffler. Other surviving members of her family include her son-in-law, Anthony Marascio, granddaughter Teresa Marascio of Charlotte, grandsons Jeffrey L. Loeffler and John E. Loeffler of New York, Anthony Marascio of Ohio and David Marascio of Texas, and nieces and nephews.

She deeply loved her family and never forgot them.

Graveside services will be conducted at 4:00 PM Saturday, December 3, 2011, at Oakdale Cemetery in Wilmington, NC with Rev. Kelly Stanley officiating.

The family ask that in lieu of flowers, donations be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital at StJude.org. or to the Wilmington Fire Department Memorial Fund, or to the home church of the donor.

"I will sing unto the Lord, because he hath dealt bountifully with me....Preserve me, O God: for in thee do I put my trust." Psalms 13, 16.
