Gary and I served together 1972-74 when we attended FB-111A aircrew training and started our career tour in the one-eleven at Plattsburgh AFB, NY. Gary was an excellent officer, bombardier and friend. When spending 30% of ones combat aircrew life together, away from home in an alert facility or studying and flying together, a special respect for your crew mate evolves. As an officer and aviator, Gary was as good as or better than any. Obviously, he loved his Air Force. It was my good luck and honor to have served with him. Godspeed, Gary.

As always it is a sudden shock when one of out friends and former neighbor from Plattsburgh AFB pass on.
We have not keep in touch as we should have since our departure from the Air Force and that is now our loss. Our sympathy goes out to Gary's family. He was a great guy, always with a smile and a great navigator and an old friend.

Dearest Mary, Gary was the Best of the best! He was my best friend, in the airplane, on the golf course, everywhere. When I received this notice, I felt like I was hit by a huge truck. Gary should have survived me by at least a hundred years! I deeply regret that I didn't write to him every day, but he didn't owe me that much attention. Gary is the Greatest, and so are you! I miss you both. I love you both! I'll never forget you. I'd like to write a book about you two, but, at the moment, it hurts too much. Love, Dick

Dear Mary, Gary and family -

My love and sympathy go with you all during this time. Gary was such a wonderful, loving influence in my life as a new teacher and for so many years as a mentor and friend. I will never forget his dedication and kindness to all of his students and especially to his "new" teachers, like me, on staff. No words can express the positive impact he made on so many thousands of lives as a teacher and I am sure so many thousands of soldiers for the many years before that in his military career! He will be missed here on earth, but we will see him again and rejoice together in Heaven as he reaps the rewards and hears, "Well done!" from His Lord and Savior - hallelujah, Amen! ~ Love, Linda (Anderson) McKeever

I had the great honor of working with Gary at Vista Verde Middle School. He was a great person to have around. He knew the ins and outs of teaching and always had PLENTY of teaching materials. I appreciated the fact that he gave a couple of my sons the time to interview him about his service in the Military.

Enjoy being with your heavenly father!!!!!
You will be missed

Praying for the rest of the family.

I feel a big heaviness hearing of the passing of Gary, a heaviness in a place where he always brought light. He touched not only my life, but the lives of my children through his teaching. My daughter once said, Mr. Trout should have been a Teacher of the Year on a national level, he's the best teacher I ever had as she was graduating from college. Gary and I had great conversations and many laughs when he came to the District Office. My first lost was when he came to visit me to say he was leaving California, but it was okay because he was starting a new adventure. This time the lost is so much worst, but will end up okay because in my faith I will see you again Gary, but until then, I will truly miss you.
