Dan and Family,

Jackie made a difference in my life as a young married woman. I give her the credit for helping me to believe in myself when she asked me to fill her shoes at Lake Forest Baptist church as teacher of the class she was leaving because she was moving. I was 19 and now many years later I am still teaching , but have shared with my classes over the years how I learned to teach thru her teaching. She was a beautiful lady inside and out. She lived her faith.

To Jackie's family,
What a blessing she was to me. I so enjoyed every time I did Jackie's hair. Rather we spent time together while I was doing her hair. We had so many wonderful talks and she had such wisdom she would share with me.I could always talk to her about anything and she shared with me as well. I feel so blessed to have been part of her life and even more blessed she was part of mine. As anyone knows that has lost someone they love there aren't any words to make the pain any less, but the words of encouragement knowing she will be missed by many and so much by me is a testament to the legacy she has left.
She was on my mind Friday morning and I said to myself I am going to call Jackie when I get to work. Well as life goes I got busy and it slipped my mind. Then I got a call on Saturday evening someone called to tell me she had gone to be with Jesus and her family needed prayer. I wish I had made that call. But Jackie would understand because she always did.
Jackie was more than a client she was a friend and what I would call a Christian mentor, a very special lady.
I heard about all the many trips she and Dan had been on as well as Sharyn and Marv. Then the last one she was so excited about and was afraid she was going to miss when she got the priviledge of taking Hannah to France. I can't express how much I loved her as a client and as a friend for probably 25 years. She will be missed by me and the entire salon. While I was doing her hair different ones would come over to talk with her because she was so special to all of us. My prayers have been with you and will continue to be with you.
In Christ,

Charles and I are in Germany tonight, but Ann Sheerin wrote us about Jackie's passing this morning. Our hearts are broken for you and your family. However, we know that she is with the Lord now and at peace. We are so sorry we can't be there in person tomorrow to honor her memory, but we will certainly be there in spirit. Jackie was a wonderful person and a good friend. We will miss her dearly. Sue and Charles Greer

Danny,

It was with a great deal of sadness that I learned of Jackie's passing. She was a great lady, and I have always remembered her as a cheerful and graceful member of our high school class. I know how much she will be missed by her family, but be consoled by the warm and loving memories of her many friends who have such fond memories of her through the years.
God bless.
