Jean, Nan, and Cheryl,
Betty Lou and I join with you in giving thanks to God for the life of John. He was a man of a positive outlook on life which arose from his faith in Christ. He was a true leader in business, in the city of Wilmington, and in Grace United Methodist Church. It was my privilege to serve as his pastor, and he was not only a member whose judgement I could rely on, but he was a personal friend. Rufus Stark

Dear Jean, Nan, and Sheryl,

Your dad was a very special friend to my mom and dad. I have so many wonderful memories of wishing "Bon Voyage" to them as they left on trips with Jean and John. I always remember hearing about the early morning knock on my parents' hotel door.....John was delivering a wake up call with Mimosas for all....such the way of life in Vegas and the friendship they all shared. This last long journey that he seemed to share with my mom was a dreadfully sad one and one that takes a little piece of life from each family member. My thoughts are with each of you and I pray that you find peace as you know John finally has. I will miss him but will cherish the long friendship that our families have shared, and the memories of fun he shared with my parents. With love,

Yvonne Hamilton
