To the Harland Family words can not say nor describe Mike (Michael) Harland, I am shocked as are many of his Friends and Family. I had the pleasure playing High School Football with Michael at St.Thomas Aquinas H.S in Oakville, Ontario.
Mike brought he's sense of humour with him to the field making all of us calm, off the field Mike was the same never in doubt Mike always had a smile and a welcome for you making sure everybody was having a good time. Well Mike I'm sure your doing the same in heaven above R.I.P my friend.

Betty, Syd, and Betty Anne , Words cannot explain the sorrow we feel for all of you during this painfull time. I have known Mike since he was a young boy and as a friend of his father for many years I shared many conversations with Mike. He had a rough road with this sickness and at times I felt he had had enough, but his strength saw him push on. He was always a positive man,Unfortunate for mike time ran out. He will be greatly missed by all. Our thoughts are with all of you at this time, As a father of three , I cannot even imagine the pain you are all going through. Mike will always be in our thoughts. I worked with Mikey for a short time at McPeak Motors in Mebane, NC. He was always cheerful and charming and I came to like him very much. He was always eating those Corn Nuts. I remember he underwent a stem cell transplant and I was so hoping that would work, as I had once donated stem cells to someone else but they had died due to an unrelated infection. I don't believe Mikey came back to McPeak's after that, and I went to work elsewhere. I was deeply saddened to receive this news from a friend.
All of Mikey's family and friends have my deepest sympathy.

Am so sorry that Michael won his battle with cancer only to be taken by his big heart giving out on him! I will always remember him and his crooked little smile and the twinkle in his eyes!

Betty; Sydney and Betty Anne. We were sad to read about the passing of Michael. We have fond memories of Michael growing up in Lorraine and spending time with Nick! He was a delightful, cheerful young man!! We will never forget how proud Mike; Nick and Betty Anne were to show us their place when they were working in Toronto.
