Warren Owens Obituary

WARREN CHARLES OWENS Warren Charles Owens, 71, of St. James Plantation, Southport, NC quietly departed this life Friday, July 13 at Lower Cape Fear Hospice in Wilmington. He was surrounded by loved ones and a caring staff. Mr. Owens was born in on Sewickley, PA and raised in Hazlet, NJ. Warren loved sunny mornings on the golf course and evenings at the club or grilling in the back yard. He never met a stranger and was the most charming, charismatic man you've ever met. He was a hard working executive in the chemical and plastics industries for many years. In the recent years he had become a dedicated consultant for the recycling business. Mr. Owens was predeceased by his parents, Paul and Mildred Feglar of Hazlet, NJ. Surviving are his children, Mike Owens of Durham, NC, Lisa Owens of Santa Barbara, CA, Melanie Guerrero and husband Jose of Monterey, CA and Laura Kaye of Atlanta; his partner Michelle Cantrell of St. James and Atlanta; brothers Richard Feglar of Hazlet, NJ and Michael Feglar and wife Cindy of Baldwin, MD; four beloved grandchildren, Tyler, Chloe, Natalia and Metzli. Memorial services will be held Monday, July 16 at 1pm at Brunswick Funeral Service 3479 Southport-Supply Rd., St. James. We want to give a special thank you to the entire staff of Lower Cape Fear Hospice for the care and consideration they showed Warren and his whole family. In lieu of flowers, we ask that donations be made to this wonderful non-profit organization. Brunswick Funeral Service, Southport/Oak Island Chapel

It's hard to believe that he's gone and that it's been one year. I knew "Woge" for many years and he was one of the nicest guys ever. I have some great memories of him in High School and will always cherish them. Rest in peace, my friend.
