Amy Qualey Obituary

Amy Qualey passed away on Friday, June 6, 2025, after a brief battle with liver failure. Born on May 2, 1954, in Eastland County, Texas, Amy spent her early years at Lake Travis (Volente) and later made Austin home for most of her adult life before settling in Kyle for the past decade.

Throughout her career, Amy held various office roles, including many years of service at Dell. Outside of work, she enjoyed spending time with family and friends and had a fondness for dice, dominoes, and card games. A devoted animal lover, Amy was rarely without a dog by her side.

Amy was preceded in death by her mother Stella Rider; father Floyd Rider; and brothers James and Edward Rider.

She is survived by her husband of 30 years, Larry Qualey; son Clinton Foster; daughter Nikki Estabrook; step-daughter Robin Qualey; step-son Scott Qualey; daughter-in-law Laura Foster; son-in-law Scott Estabrook; granddaughters Natalie Foster, Nia Foster, Jayden Foster, and Savannah Estabrook; grandsons Zachary Estabrook and Justin Foster; step-grandsons Garett Qualey and Joey Qualey Perez; great-granddaughters Isla Foster and Ivy Foster; niece Jaqueline Batterson; great-nephew Jevin Batterson; and great-niece K'Lynn Batterson.

The family extends heartfelt thanks to San Marcos Rehab/Healthcare and Heart to Heart Hospice for the compassionate care provided to Amy during her final month.

A celebration of Amy's life will be held on Sunday, June 22, 2025, at 1:00 p.m. For details, please contact Nikki at [email protected].
