Antoinette DeVane Obituary

Antoinette Seekatz DeVane Antoinette Seekatz DeVane was born in Austin, Texas on March 27, 1926 and passed peacefully on November 29, 2011. A graduate of Austin High School, she was a wonderful wife, mother, nana, violinist and poet. Toni's generous heart and wonderful sense of humor filled her life and those she touched with love and laughter. The Good Book Says by Toni DeVane To whom much is given Much is required But God, would you ease up a little 'Cause I really am tired! I know you won't give me More than I can stand But sometimes I think I need a helping hand. To carry out the daily tasks Whatever they may be And try to live the kind of life That would make You proud of me. But, dear God, I do get weary and Sometimes I make a mess Even though I try my darndest And do my very best. To remember Your forgiving love And hope I pass the test Not to complain and do my tasks And at last have eternal rest! She is survived by her husband of 67 years, Alvin Earl DeVane, four children, seven grandchildren and their spouses. Alvin & Candace DeVane, Teresa & Curtis Crail, Lisa & Mark Fisch, John & Kimberly DeVane, Bradley & Paige Crail, Thomas Crail, Jaycie DeVane, Alyssa DeVane, Gracie DeVane, Suzanne DeVane and Jonathan DeVane. The family will receive friends from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m. on Thursday, December 1st followed by a Rosary service at 7:30 p.m. in the Chapel of Weed-Corley-Fish Funeral Home, North Lamar. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at St Louis Catholic Church at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, December 2, 2011. Interment will follow at Oakwood Cemetery.
