My sincere condolences to the family. I met Uce as a newcomer to Elgin some 30 years ago. While there were those who were wary of the new guy in town, he was welcoming and supportive from the beginning. I found him to be gentle, kind, trustworthy and most of all a true friend. From one old Lee County boy to another, rest in peace Uce.

We loved coming to Texas and visiting Uncle Uce and Aunt Jeri!!! They always welcomed us with BBQ and libations!!! We are happy to know that they are together again!! We have many fond memories! Sending our deepest condolences!

I have known "Uce" for many years. We served together in the Elgin Fire Department years ago and our family dealt with the Gruetzner Chevrolet also. "Uce" was a good friend and I loved his laughter. My heart goes out to the family. May God Bless you in a special way during this sad time.

Our hearts and prayers go out to all the family... Uncle Uce will always be remembered for his love and hospitality. He was always generous in offering long hours at the barbeque grill to provide amazing brisket for countless reunions, church functions and other events. So many great memories... May God give peace and comfort to all of you as you mourn his and Aunt Jeri's passing...
