A person is indeed lucky to have five sisters, all special. Barbie was no exception, as her brother, she was special in so many ways, a sister, a part time mother, a friend, a roll model for all of us younger brothers and sisters. Barb was the family historian, she could remember people, names, dates, events and settle many disputes with solid facts. Her cooking was legendary, and like all of the sisters appearing effortless, but it wasn't because she could be feeding 4 or 25, didn't matter.
It was a real treat to talk to Barb on the phone, active and informative on family events including birthday, births, marriages, employment, and deaths. She also could speak on local, state, natinal and world news as she kept herself informed.
To say Barbie will be missed is an understatement, but now she will be truly pain free and at home with our lord and savior. Rest In Peace dear sister, your brother Ronnie

We sure will miss our Aunt and sister-in law. SO many good memories in Iowa and Kansas. Barbara was a wonderful person and was alway positive. She was a delight to talk to---Always knew everything going on with her family and was happy to talk about it. She had a long life filled with family and successes. Glad she is at peace and that her pain is over. I imagine it was a great reunion for her to see Raymond, Bud, and Delbert. You are all in our thoughts ad prayers Debbie, Mary Ellen, and Marguerite
