Barbara Anne Lamme Manz, of Austin, fell asleep in the Lord on Friday June 12, 2015. Barbara was born in Austin, Texas on the March 11, 1939. She graduated from Stephen F. Austin High School and St. Edward's University.

She was an active member of Our Lady's Maronite Catholic Church and served the parish as a volunteer for over thirty years.

She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Lt. Colonel Joe E. Manz Jr., her parents Anthony and Fannye Laura Holloway Lamme; her brother James Lamme and nephews Thomas Bashara, Robert Lamme and Timothy Lamme. She was also preceded in death by brother-in law, Joseph Bashara Sr. and sister-in-law, Carole Lamme.

Barbara is survived by her children Teresa Manz Freshour and husband Scott, Joseph Manz III, Stephen Manz and wife Mary; grandchildren Jason Hage, Stephen Freshour, Sharon Freshour, Stevie Manz and Zachary Manz.

She is survived by siblings, Myrtle Lamme Bashara, Charles Lamme, Anthony Patrick Lamme, Catherine Dye and Hall Lamme. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews and their children and grandchildren. Nothing brought her more joy than her family and hosting parties for them.

Special thanks to Stonebridge Health Center for the loving care they provided to Barbara. We also thank Seton Medical Center, Jessica Erfan, PA-C, and South Austin Assisted Living, especially June.

Thank you to friend, Bea Hage who lovingly brought Communion to Barbara.

We are extremely grateful to Abouna Don for his friendship and spiritual guidance.

The Rosary will be recited at seven o'clock in the evening on Tuesday the 16th of June at Our Lady's Maronite Catholic Church. The Funeral Liturgy will be conducted at eleven o'clock in the morning, Wednesday the 17th of June at Our Lady's Maronite Catholic Church. Interment will follow at Mt. Calvary Cemetery. The Very Reverend Monsignor Dr. Donald Joseph Sawyer will officiate services. For those who wish, donations may be made to Our Lady's Maronite Catholic Church, 1320 East 51st Street, Austin.

I just saw this obit and wanted to express my sincerest sympathy to Terri and family. I admired your mother and enjoyed her gentle sweet nature when I knew her at the Maronite Church. We both shared the loss of our beloved spouses too soon. May she be with the angels in Paradise.
