I still think of Dave often and miss him still. A good soul he was. No fair that he had to leave us so soon.

Dear John:
Having been close friends with David from age seven through 17, I can definitely attest to the fact that he was smarter than our teachers-- including even Mr. Robert Horton, of chem-phys fame (the physics side). David and I spent many a weekend together in middle school and high school, either working physics problems from Haliday and Resnick, or blowing up model airplanes with model rocket engines. I will always have great memories of his friendship and mentoring in school. Please accept my heart felt condolences for your loss and know that I will always smile when I remember the boyhood companionship that David and I shared (as well as the memory of his partnership in winning the Evanston Township High School bridge building contest as juniors, much to the dismay of Mr. Horton).

Dear John:
As David's close friend from age seven through 17, I can attest also that he was much smarter than his teachers -- even our physics teacher, Robert Horton, of the infamous chem-phys era. I spent a lot of time with David in those years, from working physics problems in Haliday and Resnick, to blowing up model airplanes with rocket engines. I remember when we won the bridge building contest at Evanston High School (in part because David secured the advice of an Israeli railroad trestle engineer). Please accept my condolences on your loss. I will always have good memories of David and our time together as teenagers in Evanston.

Dear John,

Although we never met, we heard a lot about you from David. He was our Leon's very good friend throughout their high school years and was noted for his great intelligence. He spent a good deal of time at our house and we always enjoyed his company. We are very sorry for your loss and also the loss of your parents with whom we spent some pleasant times. May your good memories of your family help console you at this difficult time.
With best wishes to you.

David was one of the nicest boys in our grade school. He was most definitely smarter than most of his teachers. I really enjoyed connecting with him again this year and send my condolences to his friends and family. A hui hou.

Dear John,
Sincere condolences on the loss of David. I think of your mother often - she was the Aaron family's "good fairy" - and my mom, Sally, misses her every day. Our thoughts and prayers are with you. May the memories of your family comfort you at this time and always. With warm regards,
Judy Aaron Whisler

Dear Dave, I am grateful for the time we had. I will never forget the night in your house before you went to the hospital. I will not feel sad because death is only part of cycle of life. Part of you will always live on in the people who care about you. Vinny.

I am so grateful I was able to reconnect with David the last month of his life. He touched my heart very deeply and I will think of him often. I first met him back in the late 80s only to come back into his life when I heard he was ill to prepare some meals for him. I enjoyed buying him some popsicles! While they didn't agree with him, his eyes lit up like a kid when he knew I'd brought him some. I am smiling now thinking of him.

I wouldn't have survived undergraduate EE without Dave's kind tutoring. We ran around Town Lake about 1000 times together. I'll think about him every time I get back there.

Dear John,

I am truly sorry to hear about your loss. 1 Corinthians 15:26 says "death is to be brought to nothing." God promises this in His great love. I hope this brings you a measure of comfort at this most difficult time.

Sincerely,
Gina
