Edward Reagh Obituary


Family-Placed Obituary

Edward L. Reagh, 73, passed away January 26, 2004 in Houston. He is survived by his wife of 37 years, Louise; children, Robert Tannert, Fanchon Carmichael, and Everett Tannert; and grandchildren, Diane Carmichael and Emily, Reagh, Randall, Adam, and Aaron Tannert. Mr. Reagh served in the U.S. Air Force. He earned Bachelor's and Master's degrees in Mathematics at the University of Texas, where he studied under R. L. Moore and H. S. Wall. He taught Mathematics for over 40 years at several Texas high schools. Mr. Reagh continued Dr. Moore's celebrated method of teaching, and used Mathematics as the vehicle to develop students' abilities to reason for themselves. This is the legacy he leaves with the hundreds of students he taught over the years.
