In My Pocket
I have memories in my pocket.
They rattle among the change.
My memories of you are treasures I carry wherever I go.
They are stored in bits and pieces, parts of a beautiful whole
They give me comfort when I think I am alone.
Yes, I have memories in my pocket, like so much other stuff I keep there.
But of all the treasures I have, it’s the memories of you that are the most precious.

Papa Hershel, you kept the family together and made a beautiful place to live in Cedar Creek and in our hearts. Now you will be there in Heaven with Granny Della. We miss her very much too. Our family will miss you dearly. Love, Candi

I will always remember Uncle Hershel for the way he always lent a helping hand to those when needed... and for having a heart as big as Texas! He will be forever missed...

Uncle Hershel as I know him, was my great uncle. I remember as a little girl he would come to visit my grandmother and would always bring deer meat. He was a very kind & giving man. We will miss him greatly.
