Monty,
I am truly sorry to hear of your Dad's passing. At work you would speak fondly of both your parents. I know he will be missed. God Bless you and your family.

I was a new hire with Western Electric in 1971. Joe helped me to learn my job assignments and how to perform them. He also helped me realize how our CWA union helped us with better and more equal working conditions with a gigantic company 100% owned by ATT.Joe could always tell a story or joke that would brighten even the darkest days. He was a natural leader and a great human being. The world has lost a 1 in a million man.May the family, friends and excoworkers of Joe be shown the compassion of God to help us accept his loss. Miss you Joe, thanks for the leadership and guidance.

I know how important his family was, and he was very important to his friends in La Marque. Joe, Bill Cox, Pat Coffee, Paul Hooper and I were a pack that ran together and got into all kinds of mischief. I know about his loyalty first-hand. Everybody back then called me Buzzy, and most high school friends still do.

What a beautifully written obituary. He was a distant cousin of mine and after reading that, I'm sorry I didn't know him and his family better. My Grandmother was Ella Hightower. I'm Cora's daughter, Tracy. Prayers to the family.
