It was so long ago that I came to know him that he was Little Joe then. Time passed, and he became Big Joe. And what a big man he became. Big of heart, big of dreams, big of silently helping others, big to his employees, big as a loving father, big in making good things happen, and much more................... He did it his own way, and that is a very good thing.

Frances, Michael and I feel deeply blessed to call you and Big Joe our friends. There are many happy memories of a man who cast a big shadow and commanded a room just by entering. I doubt Michael will every throw out a line again without thinking of all the days they fished together. They were both so proud of the number of days they fished in a roll each summer! And they always brought home the fish. Joe is missed and always will be. May God be with you and all of Joe's family and loved ones as his memories dance sweetly in our minds. Thinking of you with love.

The celebration of Uncle Joe's life hit the nail on the head. Loved seeing his truck and saddle! That native Austinite and True Texas cowboy will be truly missed.

We have such great memories of Rockport Joe & bird hunting in San Angelo & at the Encinal ranch. Anytime we have fried fish & sliced tomatoes we talk about Joe. What great memories!! I guess that is all we really have in this life! Thinking of you & your family & if we can help you plz call. Love Barbara & Karl

We extend our heartfelt sorrow to Frances and family at the passing of Joe. We are neighbors in Rockport (across the canal) and enjoyed many "fishing trip" stories from the deck. Joe will be missed in Rockport and you will be in our thoughts and prayers during this very sad time.

Happy Trails "Pappa Joe". Everytime I drive down sixth street I smile and remember how you always took me to the Hofbrau for a big steak the day before the Rodeo began and we laughed the entire time! My thoughts and prayers are with your family in their time of grief.

Our hearts, thoughts and prayers are with each of you at this most difficult time. Some people come into our life and quickly leave, others leave "boot" prints on our heart and we are never the same. We will cherish our memories of Joe, blessed to have him in our life and fortunate to call him our friend. His legacy will continue through the hard work and integrity of both lil' Joe and Jill..he was so proud of you and loved you so. May your heart be filled with peace and comfort knowing he is resting in the arms of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, and you will one day be together again.
