Sister Mattie M. Richard passed away peacefully at home into the presence of the Lord on September 29, 2025.
Mattie was born on May 8, 1947 in Austin, Texas to Mr. Albert McCarther and Mrs. Lillie Ward McCarther, both of whom preceded her in death. To this union was born nine children, She grew up in Austin, Texas with eight siblings, four brothers, Curtis (deceased), Joseph (deceased), Eddie (deceased) Thomas; and four sisters: Alberta (deceased), Mary Ann, Katherine and Annie.
Funeral services will be held 11:00am, Saturday, October 11, 2025 at New Covenant Church, 132 West State Hwy 21, Cedar Creek, Tx 78714 with burial following at Cook Walden Capital Parks Cemetery in Pflugerville. Visitation will be Friday, October 10, 2025 from 5:00pm until 8:00pm at Cook Walden Capital Park Funeral Home. Please see www.cookwaldencapitalparks.com for full obituary information.
