Maurice Weed Obituary

It is with both sadness and hopeful expectation that we announce the passing from this life of Maurice A. Weed Jr. He was a beloved husband, father, grandfather and friend to all who knew him.

Maurice Alexander Weed Jr. was born in Austin Texas, the first son of Maurice A. Weed and Lelabel Robbins Weed. He earned B.A. and M.A. degrees from Abilene Christian University, a Master of Divinity at Austin Presbyterian Theological Seminary, and a Doctor of Ministry from the Covington Theological Seminary of Rossville, Georgia. Maurice was a Christian minister and dedicated his life to preaching and teaching the Bible.

Maurice was preceded in death by his devoted wife Judy. He is survived by his children Wesley Weed, Cynthia Dirksmeyer and husband Paul, and by grandchildren Benjamin Peterson, Laura Long, Brian Peterson and great granddaughter Daisy Long.

Memorial Service will be held June 21, 2025 at 11 a.m. at Brentwood Oaks Church of Christ (Chapel) 11908 N. Lamar Blvd Austin TX, 78753.

In lieu of flowers contributions can be made to Brentwood Christian School.
