Paul SALISBURY Obituary

SALISBURY, Paul Charles
Paul Charles Salisbury, of Pflugerville, TX passed away peacefully after a short but valiant battle with lung cancer surrounded by his loving family at home in hospice care. Paul was born to Dr. Paul Crandle and Meta Salisbury on October 16, 1937 in Chicago, Illinois.

Paul graduated from New Trier High School in Winnetka, Illinois and attended the University of Colorado, Beloit College and graduated from Northrop Institute of Technology in California in Electrical Engineering.

Paul earned his private pilot's license at the age of 15 and served in the Air Force as a jet engine mechanic. He was a Mason for over 50 years.

Paul was well respected personally and professionally for his integrity, honesty, patience and intellect. The majority of Paul's professional career was in Silicon Valley in Santa Clara, CA. He and Bobbi moved to Texas in 1996 and he worked for Dell Electronics until his retirement in 2003. While at Dell he facilitated the design of laptop displays as a Design Engineer. Paul could be depended on to take the time to help with anything at any time. He continued his interest in electronics in retirement and could discuss the current innovations in the field.

In retirement, Paul was active at Palm Valley Lutheran Church and he taught photography for Lifetime Learning. He lectured on some of the many cruises that he and Bobbi enjoyed. He also sang karaoke, enjoyed listening to New Orleans jazz and attending the Express baseball games at Dell Diamond with Bobbi and grandchildren.

First and foremost Paul was a devoted husband to his wife, Bobbi. They met on a blind date when they were 17 and were married for 56 years. Paul was most proud of his family and always encouraged them to do their best. Paul is survived by his wife, Bobbi, their four children and their spouses; Susan (Tom Torrez), Paul Jr (Dori), Sandra (Shawn Robinson), Stephanie Salisbury as well as their precious grandchildren, Shawnna, her husband Victor, Daniel, his wife Alisha, Ricky, Alexandra, Jacquelyn, Jacob, Georgia, Jordan, Madison, Katherine and great grandson, Carter. He is also survived by his sister, Meta Hodson and brother, Jim, both of California.

Memorial Service will be held at Palm Valley Lutheran Church in Round Rock on Palm Valley Blvd on Saturday, January 30th at 11:00am with a reception to follow. In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to the Palm Valley Church Memorial fund or a charity of your choice.
