Scott Murphy Obituary

Scott Langley Murphy Scott Langley Murphy, born May 30, 1978, in Dallas, Texas, and passed away December 15, 2005, in Garland, Texas, was interred December 21, 2005, in Tulsa, Oklahoma. He is survived by his parents, H. Leland and Linda Murphy of Austin, Texas; sister, Trisha A. Murphy of Austin, Texas; grandmother, Vesta Langley Leak of Tulsa, Okla. Scott graduated from Schreiner University in May 2002 with a Bachelor of Business Administration. While at Schreiner he was on the President's List, Dean's List, Social Club Treasurer, and Council Member. Following graduation he lived in Dallas and worked for Affiliated Computer Services as a Help Desk Analyst and at Movie Trading Company as a Shift Leader. Scott was compassionate, thoughtful, responsible, sincere, loyal and kind; and he will be greatly missed by all. Previous memorial services were held in Tulsa, Okla., on December 21, 2005, and in Richardson, Texas, on December 29, 2005. An Austin memorial service will be held at 1:00 p.m., Thursday, January 19, 2006, at Covenant Presbyterian Church, 3003 Northland Dr., Austin, TX 78757. Memorials may be made to the Scott Langley Murphy Memorial Fund for Learning Support Services, c/o Schreiner University, 2100 Memorial Blvd., CMB 6201, Kerrville, TX 78028.
