Suzanne Rader Obituary

(04/11/2003) Suzanne died on Wednesday, April 9, 2003, in Austin following a brief illness. Suzanne was 42 years old, born in Luling, Texas, on February 19, 1961, the daughter of Mackie and Peggy Rader. She is survived by her mother, father, brother, Philip B. Rader; grandmother, Nell Waller, aunt and uncle, Janell and Brownie Webb; aunts, Ethel Waller of San Antonio, Prebble Cowan and Ida Mae New of Luling, along with many cousins and loving friends. Her dogs, Barney and Betty Sue also survive her. Suzanne was preceded in death by her grandparents, Robert Waller and Cleo and Melvin Rader. She graduated from Anderson High School where she was a member of the Anderson Marching Band. Susie was in sales, buying and management with Scarbroughs for 13 years. She left there to join Dillards in Austin. She worked for Dillards for 11 years, moving to Odessa as Assistant Manager and finished her career as Assistant Manager in Clovis, New Mexico. Special thanks to Dr. John Sandbach, Dr. Carl Nuesch, the staff at Texas Oncology Cancer Center of Austin, and the staff at Seton Central. Visitation hours will be from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. on Friday, April 11th at Weed-Corley-Fish Funeral Home. Funeral services will be at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, April 12, 2003, at Weed-Corley-Fish Funeral Home. Graveside services will follow at 2:30 p.m. at Luling City Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society. Arrangements by Weed-Corley- Fish Funeral Home, 3125 N. Lamar, Austin, TX 78705 (512) 452-8811.
