BUI, Todd (Thanh) July 9, 1976 - July 9, 2019 On July 9, 2019, our beloved Todd (Thanh) Bui passed away unexpectedly. Todd was born on July 9, 1976, in Vietnam. He spent most of his youth in Casper, Wyoming, before moving to Friendswood, Texas, during his sophomore year in high school. After graduation, Todd moved to Austin to attend The University of Texas where he majored in Biochemistry and was an active member of Zeta Psi fraternity. After college, Todd stayed in Austin and moved on to Gold's Gym (Southeast) where he established a personal training legacy that spanned almost two decades. Todd is survived by his wife of ten years, Tonia Holman Bui, and his eight year-old daughter, Brooke Bui. He is also survived by his parents, Tot Van Bui and Tuyet Lam Bui of Houston, his sisters, Hong Bui and Dr. Pauline Bui, both of Houston, and Nam Hoang-Lam Bui of Austin. A funeral service will be held on Thursday, July 18th, 2019 at Harrell Funeral Home of Austin starting at 10am. Visitation will be on July 15-17, 2019 from 4-9pm. I am so sorry and shocked. Just saw this. I have worked out at Golds gym William Cannon since it opened and talked to Todd in the gym probably 3-4 times a week. Super nice/friendly guy. I really do not speak to others at the gym when lifting but he was one of maybe 3 people i did just because he was so friendly and outgoing. I always read the newspaper and he would joke with me because I was usually reading the comics. I still am just in shock. Thoughts and prayers to his wife and daughter. We lost a great man in Todd.

Todd you were such a good, good person and you touched lives and made a difference in this world. You were always so kind, warm and inspiring. I will miss your gentle strength. I never be able to go to the gym and not think of you. Youve touched my heart and I will keep your spirit with me forever. You are now in Gods strong and comforting hands. Be at Peace.

Dear Tonia & Brooke,
My husband & I knew Todd for over 17 yrs. He not only helped us with fitness but living a happy, healthy lifestyle. And he was a dependable friend.
Tonia, I remember when Todd started talking about you to us at the gym. He said you were not only beautiful but a pure, sweet angel ( his exact words) whom he was lucky enough to have in his life.
When Brooke was born, his love for her knew no limits. He told us that he never realized he could love someone so very much.

He adored you both, and seemed to love everyone in his family full-heartedly too.

We are terribly sorry about Todds passing, and hope you are holding up as best as you can.

Always keep in mind the the Lord is close to the broken-hearted; gives solace to those most in need of comfort.

My heart goes out to his family. I have known Todd for years from simply just striking up random conversations at the gym. I have been going to golds for about 15 years and everytime I'd run into him after it being a while I'd say to him "Man your still here " He literally is and always will be legendary. It will never be the same walking into a workout. He had such a positive and witty charm and shined so bright. My prayers to you all and may he live on in the beautiful memories you created together.
