Anneliese Bulkow Obituary
SUBLIMITY - Anneliese Bulkow was born on May 22, 1930 in Berlin, Germany to Georg and  Elsbeth  Rosner. She married and traveled to the United States in 1949. She and her husband lived in and traveled to various places all over the country and made several trips to Germany to visit with family. They retired to Oregon after Roger Bulkow, her husband and best friend, retired from civil service. Anneliese loved seeing new and beautiful places and things, but the primary love of her life was her family. She was a devoted wife and loving mother of eight children. She was the heart of the family and loved everyone to gather for reunions. She enjoyed music, flowers, traveling, good books, learning new things, and good German food. She was a great cook and everyone looked forward to her ham and dumplings. Christmas was her favorite holiday because, not only was it Christ's birthday, but an occasion to celebrate with family. She was an eternal optimist and always believed that everything would turn out all right. Anneliese left this world to be with her Lord on March 14, 2008 after an illness of several months. Words cannot express how much she will be missed.   A funeral mass will be celebrated at 11 a.m. on March 18, 2008 at St. Boniface Catholic Church in Sublimity, Oregon. Burial will take place immediately following the services. Arrangements by Weddle Funeral Home of Stayton. She is survived by her husband, Roger Bulkow; eight children, Liz (Mike) Lovelett of Casper, Wyoming, George (Wanda) Bulkow of Chandler, Arizona, Monica (John) Sheeler of Vinita, Oklahoma, Pat (Walter) Parret of Vinita, Oklahoma, Carol (Bruce) Bowersox of Gillette, Wyoming, Susan Bulkow of Kenai, Alaska, John (Lisa) Bulkow of Anchorage, Alaska, and Maria Bulkow of Stayton, Oregon; sixteen grandchildren and twenty-three great-grandchildren. Her younger sister, Johanna, and older sister, Ursala, still live in Germany. She was preceded in death, by her parents. Donations in lieu of flowers may be made to Maryknoll Sisters, P.O.
