William Rawlinson

December 20, 1917 - August 25, 2011

Stayton - William was born in Dracut, Massachusetts to Edward and Bessie (King) Rawlinson. His knowledge of running a dredge was welcomed by the U.S. Navy and he served in 1945 to 1946 as a Boatswain's Mate 1st Class. He worked in many different aspects in Retail Grocery business. He spent his retirement years between San Diego and Stayton, Oregon. His passion was going to the Casino's, Horse Racing Tracks and Betting Parlors in Salem among those who were counted as friends. He was preceded in death by first wife, Estelle, second wife, Rita and daughter, Nancy. He will be missed by his Step-Son, Ralph (Carla) Howell, Grandchildren; Evelyn (John) Davidson, Ernest (Shirl) Howell, Mark (Jaturiya) Howell, Valerie Brown, Kathy (Tom) Coseno, William Brown, Great Grandchildren, Kendra Davidson, Jessica & William Howell, plus numerous Great Great Grandchildren and Nieces and Nephews. Graveside Services will be Tuesday, August 30, 2011 10:00 AM at Lone Oak Cemetery in Stayton. Arrangments by Weddle Funeral Services Online Condolences: Weddle-Funeral.com
