Mabel Jean "Terry" Moore, 86, of Kannapolis, passed away October 2, 2024, at the Tucker Hospice House. She was born October 23, 1937, in Ellerbe, NC (Richmond County), daughter of the late Marvin and Pearlie Jenkins Terry. She was preceded by sisters, Pauline Dawkins, Jewel Hancock, Shirley Ludlum, Ruby Smith and Hazel Dawkins.

Terry was a manager of the former Pauline's Women's Clothing store in the Carolina Mall for many years. She also worked for Day Enterprises. In her earlier years, she loved being an interior decorator. She was a faithful member of First Baptist Church, where she was a quiet servant in all phases of church activities throughout her lifetime.

Funeral services will be at 4 p.m., Sunday, October 6, 2024, at Whitley's Funeral Home Chapel, officiated by Dr. Tom Cabaniss. Burial will follow at Carolina Memorial Park. Her family will receive from 2:30 to 4 p.m. Sunday prior at Whitley's.

Terry is survived by her husband, James D. "Jim" Moore; sons, Todd Moore (Donna) and Joel Moore (Shelia); grandchildren, Mallory Rawdon (Curtis), Brandon Moore (Michelle), Taylor Moore and Anderson Moore; great-grandchildren, Bohde Rawdon, Brooklynne Rawdon, Lawson Moore and Nora Moore; sisters, Mary Frances Renegar, Barbara Smith and Pat McDonald.
