Charles Flanders Obituary

Charles Scott Flanders, 14, St. Augustine, died June 13, 2005, at Flagler Hospital. He was a native and life long resident of St. Augustine and he was a student of Gamble Rogers Middle School. He was a member of Crescent Beach Baptist Church.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Friday, June 17, 2005, at Crescent Beach Baptist Church, 885 S.R. 206 East, with the Rev. David Beauchamp, pastor, officiating. Interment will follow at St. Augustine Memorial Park. Visitation will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday (today) at Kotrady-Hudgins-Croyle Funeral Home, 209 S. Ponce de Leon Boulevard.

He is survived by his mother, Michelle Ann Flanders, St. Augustine; father, Scott Vincent Flanders, St. Augustine; maternal grandmother, Joyce Matthews, Florahome; maternal grandfather, David Herbert Weeks, Kingman, Ariz.; paternal grandmother, Grace Dore, Montreal, Quebec, paternal grandfather, Vincent Flanders, Daytona Beach; maternal great-grandmother, Iris Jordan, College Park, Ga., maternal great-grandmother, Mary Matthews, Jacksonville; paternal great-grandmother, Constance LaVoieq, Montreal, Quebec; and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.

Kotrady-Hudgins-Croyle Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Charles was soo awsome. He was one of my best friends and i miss him so much. We use to talk for HOURS on the phone. I remeber he use to always sing to me he wanted to be one American Idol. He was such a good listener and he would always give me advice. I am so sorry Mr. and Ms. Flanders for this loss if you need anything just contact me. You did a good job raising him he was one of a kind. I love you Charles with all of my heart and i will always love you. You will always be my heart!

Charles was like my brother, we would go fishing riding the golf cart and all sorts of things.We would get in fights but we would get through them.Well im gonna miss charles very much and i will never forget him. R.I.P Charles you were my brother.

Charles was a truly amazing person and I miss him so much. He was one of my best friends. He could always make you laugh no matter what mood you were in. I havent known him for that long but he has changed my life completely. Things just wont be the same without him. I'll just miss everything about him, his laugh, his smile, he stupid jokes, tallking to him on the phone for hours & just so much more.
