Elaine Kastner Obituary

Elaine B. Kastner, 88, of the Glenmoor Life Care Resort Community at World Golf Village, passed away on Sept. 12, 2013, at Baptist Hospital South in Jacksonville. She was born in Glen Ridge, N.J., to Joseph and Elsa Bartlett. She grew up in New Jersey and attended secretarial school in New York and worked for many years a secretary for various companies in New York. She was a longtime resident of Lynchburg, Va., before moving to Ponte Vedra Beach in 1990. She and her husband moved to the World Golf Village in 2007. She was a member of Christ Church in Ponte Vedra Beach.

She is survived by her husband, Christopher Kastner of St. Augustine; a son, John Kastner and his wife, Sharon of Lynchburg, Va.; a daughter, Judith Kastner of Greensboro, N.C.; and grandchildren, Elizabeth and John Christopher "Chris" Kastner.

Graveside services will be in Lynchburg, at noon on Friday at Virginia Memorial Park in Forest, Va. Flowers are gratefully declined; anyone wishing to may make a contribution to their favorite charity.

St. Johns Family Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
