Francesca S. Korach, 57, went home to be with the Lord on Monday May 7, 2012. She died peacefully at Flagler Hospital surrounded by her loving son Reed Fulton Korach, her devoted husband of 34 years, William Mark Korach, her pastor and friends.
Francesca was born at Bethesda Naval Hospital, on Dec. 15, 1954 to Captain and Mrs. Walter Stencil, USN, and grew up in Vienna, Va., and Easton, Md. She came from a large loving, Navy family. Francesca inherited all of the courage, patriotism, and love of family from that mighty and heroic generation
Francesca, set aside a promising nursing career to raise her sons William Korach, III and Reed. William was autistic and Francesca was dedicated to helping William lead the best life he could while giving Reed a heritage of love and devotion. She was active in autism causes and was an often requested speaker at national meetings on autism. Francesca managed her family when William, a Navy officer was recalled for active duty during Operation Desert Storm. She was active in the Navy League of St. Augustine.
She was a ray of light and sparkled in many people"s lives. She brought magic to those around her through her bright personality and her lively home designs, notes and cards. Her whimsical art and collectables brought a smile to every visitor"s face. She was a friend and defender of those who couldn"t defend themselves. Her cheerfulness in the face of her illness, and fortitude after the loss of her son William in 2003 was a beacon for all who knew her. She was diminutive in size, but her strength calls to mind Queen Elizabeth I words to her subjects on the eve of the Spanish invasion of England: "I know I have but the body of a weak and feeble woman; but I have the heart of a king, and of a king of England, too."
Her family grieves for her but it is tempered by the certain knowledge that she is in God"s arms and reunited with her son William. She is survived by her son Reed, her husband William, her mother, Francesca Fulton Stencil, her brothers, Cmdr. Craig Stencil, USN (ret.). Jay Stencil and her sisters, Capt. Anne Fulton, USN (ret.), Jeffra Gasch, Katie Stafford, and Lisa Wyman.
A memorial service will be held at Crescent Beach Baptist Church at 1 p.m. Friday, May 11, 2012.

I too say "Classy Lady". I was honored to be thought of as her friend. A beautiful lady with a beautiful spirit.
I will next see her when we meet in heaven. I weep with you my friend Bill,
Until God shall wipe away our tears.

Dear Bill,
We could not have had better neighbors than you and Francesca. She was kind and gentle and caring. She was frail yet inwardly strong and steady.
Love is so short; forgetting is so long. God will solve that for you.
Our love and prayers,
David and Elaine
