Gabriel Rapicault Obituary
Gabriel C. Rapicault, 96, passed away quietly at his home June 16, 2013. He was a native of France and was wounded during World War II fighting with the French Resistance against the Nazi"s. He and his family retired to St. Augustine over 25 years ago. He enjoyed taking long walks along the beach, was an avid gardener and reader.
He is survived by his beloved wife, Nicole; his daughter, Christine (Fred) Cappillino of Daytona Beach; and daughter-in-law, Vera Rapicault. He predeceased by his son, Capt. Patrick Rapicault, U.S.M.C. who was killed in action in Iraq on Nov. 15, 2004.
There will be a memorial service Wednesday, June 26, 2013, at 6 p.m. at Craig Funeral Home. Flowers are declined. Donations to Vitas Hospice, 7406 Fullerton St., Jacksonville, FL 32256 are appreciated.
Craig Funeral Home Crematory Memorial Park (www.craigfuneralhome.com) is in charge of arrangements.
