Jane Ryan McLaughlin Obituary
The daughter of the late Mark and Elma Noethling Ryan, Jane was born in Silver Creek, New York, on June 26, 1941. She was a graduate of Southside High School in Elmira, and had been employed at the Elmira Correctional Facility as a secretary. Prior to that, she owned and operated Jane's Beauty Shop, in Elmira. She was an accomplished artist, a cook; she was the "ultimate" homemaker.
Jane's greatest love was her family; she is survived by her husband of 31 years, D. Mike McLaughlin; her children, Thomas (Marianne) Devlin, of Elmira, Barbara (David) Ruf of Poughkeepsie, Michael (Mia) Devlin of Elmira, Patricia (William) Lupien of Auburn, Colleen (Art) Wallner of Auburn, Michelle (Joseph) Lippert of Pennsylvania, Michael McLaughlin of Florida, Kathleen McLaughlin of Auburn, Kevin McLaughlin of Florida and Keith McLaughlin of Illinois; many grandchildren and great-grandchildren, several nieces and nephews.
Mrs. McLaughlin was predeceased by her daughter Laurie Lippert, whom she devotedly cared for and a brother James Ryan.
A memorial service will be held privately for the family. Arrangements are with White Chapel Funeral Home, 197 South St. Auburn.
The family asks that those wishing to honor Jane do so with an act of kindness for someone or a contribution to your local SPCA, or the Alzheimer's Association.

Jane will be sincerely missed by her friends and neighbors in St. Augustine. Her kindness and generosity will be remembered by all who knew her. Jane was creative and she made her home a work of art. My sincere condolences to her whole family.
