Jane Svonavec Obituary
Jane Ann Svonavec, 85, of Listie died July 22, 2021 at her home. Born February 25, 1936 in St. Augustine, FL. She is the daughter of John Aaron and Mary (Abel) Taylor. Preceded in death by her parents, husband Donald William Svonavec who died June 27, 2019, son; Gregory A. Svonavec Sr., granddaughter; Destiny Rose Svonavec, and brothers; Estin, Lloyd, John, James, and Daniel Taylor. Survived by her children: Theresa Woy and husband David, Angela G. Svonavec and husband John Kuhn, and Timothy J. Svonavec married to the former Beth Bulow all of Somerset, Judith Walker and husband Ron of Mechanicsburg, daughter-in-law Rita Svonavec of Beckley WV, grandchildren: Jenna Wintersteen, and Gregory Svonavec of Somerset, Sarah Hillegas of Indiana, Rachel Svonavec of Pittsburgh, Eli Svonavec of Somerset, Samantha Giuliano of Mechanicsburg, and James Donald Onstead of York, great-grandchildren: Tenley, Anniston, Molly, Lycan, Lucian, Jude, and one great-grandson on the way, also her sister Judy Ransom of St. Augustine, FL. Jane was a 1954 graduate of St. Joseph's Academy in St. Augustine, and a LPN graduate of Somerset Vocational Nursing School where she was president of her class. She worked for many years as a private duty LPN; she also was a member of St Peter's Catholic Church, and enjoyed sewing, cooking, and spending time with her grandchildren. Friends received 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Monday at the Hauger-Zeigler Funeral Home & Cremation Services, Somerset. A funeral mass will be conducted at 10 a.m. Tuesday at St. Peter's Catholic Church, Somerset, with Father Angelo Patti Celebrant. Committal Listie Catholic Cemetery. In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to St. Peter's Catholic School 433 W. Church St. Somerset, PA 15501 or Heartland Hospice 1590 N Center Ave Suite 103, Somerset, PA 15501.
