Kimberly Robinson Giddens, 50, passed away peacefully with family by her side on July 16, 2011, at home after a courageous battle with cancer.
She is survived by her husband of 23 years, Jamie; daughter, Megan; son, Christopher; mother, Twila Robinson; sisters, Diane (Marlin) Feagle, Cindy (Jimmy) Kelly; mother-in-law, June Giddens; sister-in-law, Michelle (Gary) Yates; her faithful doxie, Molly; many nieces, nephews, aunts, cousins and a host of friends and colleagues.
Kim was preceded in death by her father, Daniel Robinson; and great-nieces, Britton and Rylan Kelly-Dunn.
Born and raised in Jacksonville, she was a graduate of Forest High School and the University of North Florida. Kim had a successful marketing and sales career in the pharmaceutical and healthcare field. She was of the Catholic faith.
Kim loved people, never met a stranger and always made people feel welcomed. She fought this wicked disease with great courage and strength and was such an inspiration.
Kim was our ray of sunshine each day. Her great smile and wonderful laugh will always be remembered. We on earth have lost a wonderful woman, but heaven has gained an amazing angel.
A private family burial will be held. Friends are invited to attend her celebration of life on July 20, 2011, at The Country Club of Orange Park, 2525 Country Club Blvd., Orange Park, Fla., from 2-4 p.m.
In lieu of flowers, Kim requested memorial contributions be made to Dreams Come True, 6803 Southpoint Parkway, Jacksonville, FL 32216.

One of the nicest and most gracious people I had the honor to call "friend". We went to high school together and then met up again later as she worked in the same industry as I. Never to be forgotten.

I went to school with Kim at Cedar Hills Elementary, Jeb Stuart Jr High and then graduating together at Forrest High in 1978. Kim always had a smile on her face and seemed to laugh easily. Working in the health care industry, I had run into Kim from time to time and she was always so happy to see a familiar face. How sad I was to hear that she has lost her battle with cancer. My prayers go out to her family. God Bless you.

I am so saddened to hear of Kim's death. Throughout college, she was the bright spot of my day as we trudged through UF and later UNF. She was the first friend I made in Gainesville, and noone could ask for a kinder companion. Her smile brightened every room she entered. My heart goes out to the family. Her death leaves a huge hole in your hearts that can only be filled with the many glorious memories of days spent in her presence. How fortunate we all are to have loved her.

As others have mentioned, I think we first met Kim at the pool right after we moved to Pace Island. If I remember rightly it was at a Memorial Day party and Kim made us feel so welcome in the neighborhood and introduced us to others. Our kids grew up together through grade and middle school and we would compare notes frequently! She had a great smile and a warm laugh and was a very genuine person. I will miss seeing her around the neighborhood but will always remember her so fondly and she lives on in her wonderful kids! Love and hugs to all Kim's family and friends.

I am filled with sadness to know that I will never see Kim's smile or hear her wonderful laugh again. She had a way of always lifting my spirits. I will never forget how she opened her
home to me when I needed a place to stay - what tremendous generosity! I will always be
grateful to her for that. Jamie, Megan, and
Christopher, you are in my prayers. I have no
doubt that your beloved wife and mother has been given a special place in heaven and that she is already friends with all the other angels!

Kim, you were a great person and friend that we met when we moved to Orange Park, FL from Texas in 2001. Our boys spent many seasons of baseball together. We enjoyed the times that Darrell and I got together with you, Jamie, Christopher and Megan for outings, get togethers, and baseball parties. I am grateful for all those times that you allowed Chris in to your home to stay with Christopher. We will truly miss you. Our deepest sympathy goes out to Jamie, Megan, Christopher, and their other family members during this difficult time.

Kim was the first person I recall meeting when we moved to Pace Island in 1996. At the time, I remember being shocked that, whenever I met someone new, they all seemed to know Kim! Her warmth and kindness touched so many people. I'll miss her, and hope that her beautiful family finds peace and comfort knowing that Kim has touched so many lives in so many wonderful ways.

Kim was my neighbor and best friend for a few years while at Cedar Hills Elem. We had such fun together and I will always remember her great smile and laugh. My heart goes out to her family, her husband, and her children. My prayers will be with you all and may your memories of Kim fill your hearts with comfort and peace and may God keep you wrapped in His loving care. God Bless.
